1) Select the Group to add the stock item to.
2) Fill in the Description
3) Stocktake Unit - the unit you count this Stock Item in.
Wine is brought and counted as bottles, so this unit should be Bottle.
4) Reduction Unit - the unit you will use in the Recipe for this Stock Item.
Wine is sold by the mL so this unit should be mls.
5) Stocktake Unit = Reduction Unit - the number of Reduction Units in the Stocktake Unit.
As we order by the Bottle but sell by the ml, 1 Bottle = 750mls, so therefore the Stocktake Unit = Reduction Unit is 750.

6b) If you only have one location move past this step

Steps 10) and 11) are the important and must be correct for your stock system to operate.
For this example we will assume the wine comes in case of 6.
10) Add the Order unit of this item - the way you order the stock item.
The Order Unit is Case.
11) Update the Stock Quantity relevant to the Order Unit - this is how many Stocktake Units are in the Order Unit.

The unit for reduction is shown in brackets.
For a Bottle Size the Reduction Quantity is 750
For a Glass size the Reduction Quantity is 150
If you use a Large Glass then the Reduction Quantity would be the mLs of that large glass.
8) Repeat for all items that need to have stock linked.
9) Commit the Menu.
Now the Stock Item is linked to the Menu Item.
Once this is completed every time an item with a recipe is sold, it will reduce from stock.
