Before you start to enter Stock Item, you need to set up the Supplier you get your stock from, and also the structure of stock items.
Setting Up Suppliers
1) Start POSbiz Office and press Stock
2) Press Edit/Add Suppliers
3) Press Add Supplier
4) As a minimum fill in the Company Name
- Enter in any other information you wish
5) Repeat for any further suppliers and once completed press Close.
Setting Up Stock Categories
Similar to the Menu, stock items are sorted into groups under a category.
You can set up you category structure based on how you are going to do stocktakes and report.
Below are two examples of how to set this up:
This allows all Wine and Beer to be grouped together, meaning easy to stocktake all wine in one go, and report on Wine as a whole.
Beverage
- Wine
- Beer
- RTDs
OR
This structure allows for more specific stocktaking and reporting, as you can choose to report on or stocktake just the Bottled Beers or Chardonnay.
Wine
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Chardonnay
- Rose
Beer
- Bottled Beer
- Kegs
Categories
This is the master folder to hold the groups.
1) From within Stock Press Edit/Add Stock
2) Press Add Category
3) Enter the Category name.
4) Press OK to save
Groups
1) Click on the Category to add a group to.
2) Enter the name of the Group
3) Repeat with any required groups.
Once this is complete you can add Stock Items.
