Patron Count

Patron Count

Patron Count is an effective way to gather information on your customers average spend.
This information can be shown on the Zed report, has a report in Office, and is shown on POSbiz Insights.

With Patron Count enabled staff will be prompted to enter the number of guests that the order covers. You can also set up multiple Patron Types for if you wanted to separate Adults and Children.

By Default the Patron Count on each transaction is 1. Staff can change this on the Tender Screen by pressing Patron Count and then entering the correct value.

Patron Count can also prompt to be entered meaning staff are always entering the count.

1) Enter Maintenance > Misc Settings.
2) Tick either
2a) Prompt for Patron Count - This occurs when tapping the 'Tender' button.
2b) Prompt for Patron Count on table Sales - This occurs when saving items to the table for the first time.

Prompt for Patron Count will prompt on every sale made to enter the Patron Count.
Sometime sales that are not made to a table do only cover 1 patron, so staff don't need to manually enter this, you can choose to only prompt for a Patron Count on Table Sales instead.

At any point on the Tender Screen staff can update or change the count by pressing Patron Count and entering in the new number.

Setup Patron Types
If you'd like to create different patron types for tracking purposes, go to 'Patron Types' under 'Maintenance'.

Here you can add the types you need, and set the default type.

Now when you are prompted for patron count, you will see the types, and you can add the relevant numbers for each type.
