POSbiz has functionality so you can easily set an item to be unavailable, or where you only have limited numbers of a particular item left and want to automatically stop the staff from selling it once you have no more left.
Item Availability
In the Menu Manager,
1) Find the item to add the count to.
2) To make the whole item unavailable click on Item Available to toggle to Item Not Available.
This will grey out the item in the menu meaning it can no longer be added to orders or sold.
To make the item available again repeat the steps to toggle to Item Available.
Product Countdown
To set an item with a limited number of times it can be ordered through the POS.
1) Find the item in to add the count to.
2) Click on the Size to add the count to.
3) Click on Counting Functionality to enable the count.
4) Click on Number Available
5) Enter the quantity available to be sold.
There are two further optional settings for the countdown.
Warnings and Reset.
You can set a warning so when the item countdown drops below a certain number the staff are reminded.
Warning
1) While setting the number left click on Warnings.
2) Click on the Warn When Below and enter the quantity to warn at.
Once the countdown goes past the warning quantity it will warn staff on every order that there is only a limited amount left.
Reset
For those items that may run down everyday, such as cake slices or pieces of fish you can set for the count to automatically reset back to the default at the end of each day, when the Zed is done.
1) Click on Reset at Zed
2) Enter the Default Number
This will mean when the Zed is done the count will reset back to this default.
